Behind the scent

Created by master perfumer Arturetto Landi, this one's an homage to 1930s Shanghai at its most cosmopolitan; a melting pot of "British spies, Soviet agents, rich tycoons, journalists, revolutionaries." A green tea accord opens into narcotic tuberose and magnolia, meant to feel as layered and unpredictable as the city itself was in that era.
