Behind the scent

Sandalwood Sacré traces back to Yuri Gutsatz's years living in Bombay, where he was struck by the mystical calm of the city's ancient temples and the spiritual weight of sacred woods. He first created the fragrance in 1979 under the name Eau de Sandalwood. It's one of the few Le Jardin Retrouvé scents backed by actual neuroscience: Givaudan ran it through brain imaging to validate its calming effect.
